IT Executive

Elegant Knitting international Pvt Ltd at Biyagama is an Australian owned leading apparel manufacturer with a strong global presence. Due to our rapid expansion, we’re on the lookout for a dedicated IT Executive to join our Team!
Responsibilities
- Networking: Manage, configure, and troubleshoot local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) to ensure smooth connectivity.
- VPNs: Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) to ensure secure remote access for employees.
- General IT Support: Provide technical support for desktop, laptop, and peripheral devices, addressing hardware and software issues promptly.
- Server Management: Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot factory servers to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
- Security: Implement and maintain IT security protocols to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of IT processes, troubleshooting steps, and network configurations.
- Barcode: Maintain barcode printing capabilities and uptime status
- PHP Development (Added Advantage): Utilize PHP programming knowledge to contribute to internal software projects or custom tools that streamline factory operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in IT support within a manufacturing or factory setting is an advantage.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewalls.
- Experience setting up and troubleshooting VPNs for remote access.
- Proficiency in supporting general IT hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS).
- Bonus: Knowledge of PHP for custom software development or internal applications.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively assist users at all technical levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving IT issues.
